Lt. Governor Kiran Bedi recently said that in the next four to five years Puducherry would better Goa in many ways. There would be more beaches to draw visitors and the tourism infrastructure would be better.
The Lt. Governor explained that in the weekends she explores new places around the Union Territory along with a team of officials from the PWD and Sanitation. On these tours they had come across quite a few unexplored beaches.
Puducherry, which is known mostly for its spiritual ambiance with the presence of Sri Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville, would in the future also become known for its beaches. It would beat Goa in many ways.
The Lt. Governor said that she would promote Puducherry’s all-round development in an active manner.
